This Privacy Policy explains how the Sts. Constantine & Helen mobile app (the "App"), published by Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral (the "Parish," "we," "us"), handles information. The App is provided free of charge to help our parishioners stay connected to parish life.
Information we collect
The App does not require you to create an account or log in, and we do not ask you to enter personal information such as your name, address, or payment details inside the App.
To deliver push notifications (reminders for services and events, and urgent parish alerts), the App uses a third-party service, OneSignal. When you allow notifications, OneSignal generates and stores a device "push token" and limited technical information about your device — such as device type, operating system, app version, language, and time zone — so that notifications can be sent to your device. This information is not used to personally identify you.
How we use information
We use the push token and related technical information solely to send you notifications you have opted into, and to understand at a general level how many devices are subscribed. We do not sell, rent, or trade any information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Links to other services
The App includes links to other pages and services — for example our website, live stream, online giving, bulletins, and prayer-request forms. When you follow those links, any information you choose to provide there (such as a donation) is handled by those services under their own privacy policies, not this one.
Notifications and your choices
Notifications are optional. You can turn them off at any time in your device's Settings for the App, or by disabling notifications within the App. Turning them off stops your device from receiving further notifications.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience (ages 13 and older) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data retention and security
Push tokens and related technical data are retained by OneSignal on our behalf for as long as your device remains subscribed to notifications, and are removed when you unsubscribe or uninstall the App. We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information the App uses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
